Out and about
I'll be speaking and attending a bunch of things during the first half the year. Come on out. It'll be fun. Don't be shy. Just drop me a line.
Where 2.0
I'm giving a session at O'Reilly's Where 2.0 on Handling Real-Time Geostreams. I'll talk about the infrastructure we've put in place at Twitter to support real-time geo data, and what that data means to us. I'm aiming to be really information dense. I have a while here, so expect me to fill it.
Chirp
Twitter's first developer conference — Chirp! It's in San Francisco on the 14th and the 15th of April. I have no idea what I'll be doing there, but I'm sure it will be something around geo, or something around OAuth, or generally just hanging out and talking APIs. Come! It should be a blast, and I'm psyched to meet a lot of Twitter developers there. And you can build something cool at the Hack Day while Twitter engineers float around.
GigaOm Bunker Session
GigaOm has been putting together these awesome Bunker Sessions — they're a chance for people to get together, around a specific topic, and really go deep on them. In late April, they're hosting one on "Monetization Models for Location". I'll be there. Mostly as technical background, but I'm there to listen and talk.
FOWA Dublin
In May I'll be in Dublin for the Future of Web Apps where I'll be talking about location, social networking sites, and what's Twitter has been up to in adding "where" to "when". Carsonified events are usually a hoot. It's a short session, but I'm hoping to jam as much knowledge and experience into it.

Mate, if you're in Dublin in May, can I tempt you to speak at the Leeds Web Festival a few days earlier and just an hour away by air? Be great to have you as a speaker on Wattzon/Twitter or even a standalone Twitter hackday?
