Extremely preliminary look at Twitter's Annotations

I'm passing through England, so I'm attending @warblecamp at The Guardian's HQ in London. For this, I threw together a quick, and extremely preliminary view on what @twitterapi has been working on — and what I feel has the ability of being a game-changer on the platform — Annotations.

There's a video of my presentation as well that @farhan took:
Raffi Krikorian, one of the tech leads on the Twitter Platform joined us at @warblecamp here, in London (warblecamp.org), and during his session, he shared a bit of a sneak preview of a potentially soon to be released feature of Twitter, #Twannotations (the ability to annotate tweets)

In the words of our Vice President, this is a big ... deal. I'm excited ... the possibilities with annotations are endless.

Wondering if Twitter annotations will be microformat friendly XML. That would make sense...
